Products Description
The aluminum alloy crusher for scrap aluminum and waste wheel hub is unique in its structural design. Common types include hammer crusher and impact crusher. The hammer crusher is equipped with a high-speed rotating rotor, and multiple hammers are hinged on the rotor. When the equipment is started, the rotor drives the hammer to rotate at high speed. Scrap aluminum, waste wheel hub, aluminum alloy and other materials enter the crushing chamber and will be violently hit by the high-speed moving hammer. At the same time, the materials will collide and rub with the liner and other materials in the crushing chamber, thus being crushed into small pieces. The impact crusher uses the high-speed impact of the plate hammer and the repeated impact between the material and the impact plate to achieve crushing. After the material enters the crushing chamber, it is first hit by the plate hammer at high speed and flies to the impact plate. After the impact plate rebounds, it interacts with the plate hammer and the material again until it is crushed to a suitable particle size.

Working principle of scrap steel/aluminum/iron crusher:

Crushing stage : The high-speed rotating hammer or knife disc hits, shears and squeezes the metal material to tear it into smaller pieces.

Sorting stage : The crushed mixture is separated from metal and non-metallic impurities (such as plastics and rubber) by magnetic separators, vibrating screens and other devices to improve the recovery purity.

Process flow of scrap steel/aluminum/iron crushers recycling line:

1. Raw material pretreatment

The scrap aluminum, discarded wheel hubs and aluminum alloy materials to be processed need to be preliminarily cleaned and sorted before entering the crushing and sorting line. Remove impurities such as dirt, oil, plastic parts and other impurities attached to the surface of the materials manually or mechanically to prevent these impurities from affecting the operation of the equipment or reducing the purity of aluminum metal during the subsequent crushing and sorting process. For mixed aluminum products of different types, simple classification is carried out according to the material and shape, such as separating thin sheets of waste aluminum foil from block-shaped industrial aluminum waste, which provides convenience for subsequent processing.

2. Crushing stage

(I) Coarse crushing

The pretreated materials first enter the coarse crusher, such as a hammer crusher or a jaw crusher. The coarse crusher uses strong impact force or extrusion capacity to crush larger-sized scrap aluminum, discarded wheel hubs and aluminum alloy products into smaller blocks. For discarded wheel hubs, the coarse crusher can preliminarily crush its solid structures such as rims and spokes, and at the same time separate some residual tire rubber and bolts and other accessories.​
(II) Fine crushing​
The coarsely crushed materials are conveyed to the fine crusher, such as a double-shaft shredder or an impact crusher, via a conveyor belt. The fine crusher further crushes the materials into smaller and more uniform fragments. By adjusting the parameters of the fine crusher, the particle size of the material can be controlled to meet the requirements of the subsequent sorting process for the particle size of the material. ​
3. Sorting stage​
(I) Magnetic separation​
The crushed materials enter the magnetic separation equipment, and the magnetic force is used to separate the ferromagnetic material from the aluminum and aluminum alloy materials. Because some ferromagnetic impurities such as iron nails and iron sheets are often mixed in the scrap aluminum and aluminum alloy scrap, magnetic separation can effectively remove these impurities to avoid their adverse effects on the subsequent smelting process, while recycling the ferromagnetic material and improving resource utilization. ​
(II) Eddy current separation​
The materials after magnetic separation enter the eddy current separator. The eddy current separator is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. When the material passes through, it generates an alternating magnetic field, which causes non-ferrous metals such as aluminum and aluminum alloys to generate eddy currents, which are then ejected by the magnetic field force and separated from non-metallic materials. This step can further separate aluminum and aluminum alloy materials from non-metallic impurities such as plastics and rubber to obtain relatively pure aluminum and aluminum alloy fragments. ​
(III) Density separation (optional)​
For production scenarios with higher purity requirements, density separation equipment such as shaking tables or heavy medium separators can be used. By utilizing the difference in density of different materials, under the action of water flow or heavy medium, aluminum and aluminum alloys are further separated from impurities with different densities, further improving the purity of aluminum metal.
